« Toutes ces choses qu’on ne s’est pas dites» “All those things we did not say” from series “From fear to faith” Mixed media on canvas 80 x 55 inches MADELAT 2020 “All those things we did not say" elaborates on the notion of fatality, of the incontestable and the emptiness left by those who for some reason leave, either because they have left our side, have traveled to other territories, or simply and plainly in our soul they die. In this painting I want to elaborate on everything that remains pending for not having dared to live it, for believing that the future was long or having overlooked the most important thing, which is to live in the present. "All those things we did not say” reflects on how many fantasy moments we postpone, how many conversations we interrupt due to trivialities, how many meals we do not share, how many books we do not comment on, how many trips we leave for later, all in the false expectation of the possible, ignoring the probable The only instant where something can be done is the present.
